Vitriol Dogs are pirate factions operating within the Venus cloud layer who specialize in corrosive warfare and controlled-descent salvage operations.

They are most commonly encountered flying vessels classified as Interdiction Ships—craft designed not to destroy targets outright, but to capture, slow, degrade, and harvest them in-flight.

Vitriol Dogs do not seek clean kills.

They seek to:
